This was a very creative week at the Dementia Respite Center. With Flag Day right around the corner, we celebrated by painting US flags with corks and then applied sparkling stars. On Thurs, our theme was "Balance" We discussed the many different meanings of the word, did a balance exercise class, and then created our own Rock towers with rocks from Lake Michigan. This required balancing each rock just so or the tower would come tumbling down.

In order to remain open, we rely on grants for day to day operations. We have not gotten up to the number friends required to become seft sufficient.

The Dementia Respite Center is in need of a volunteer grant writer. This position can be done when convenient for you and anywhere you'd like to do it

If you have been looking for a way to volunteer for the Center but can't commit to 4 hrs on Tues or Thurs, this might be your opportunity 🤔
