We were invited the first-ever CarePatrol panel discussion and mini expo last night at the Mary Beth Nienhaus rooms at the Appleton Public Library - VERY nice facilities!

There were amazing panelists sharing about different services they offer our aging population - from housing solutions to wills & trusts - to connecting to resources. CarePatrol has been in the Fox Cities now for over 11 years - and going strong. They continue to work hard to connect people to resources, again, especially the older population.

We were able to share about the various Veterans benefits - from service connection (especially the PACT Act for our Vietnam Veterans), pensions, and how VA programs like A&A work. It was a great turnout for the first event and April did a phenomenal job organizing it all with the help of her team. We definitely look forward to the next one!

If you have an aging parent/aunt/uncle/brother who is a Veteran, PLEASE START EARLY. We've had many families recently filing for their parent expecting the VA to help immediately. Unfortunately, it can take up to 12 months for several of these processes.
