A Tip for Today....

Before you pass away, do NOT leave your bank accounts, retirement accounts, or investment accounts without a TOD (Transfer on Death) or POD (Payable on Death) designation. Sounds small, but it makes a HUGE difference.

👉🏾 When you add TOD/POD to your accounts, those funds immediately transfer to your chosen beneficiaries at the time of your passing. No courts. No delays. No probate. Straight to them.

If you skip this step, those accounts could be frozen until probate finishes — and that can drag out for months or even years.

Also, make sure your will matches your beneficiary designations. If they conflict, the beneficiary forms win every single time.

This is one of the simplest, most overlooked steps to protect your family’s money and make sure wealth transfers smoothly.
