Xavier Hawks Baseball

Gavin Wiese hit two home runs and drove in four as Xavier Varsity Hawks defeated Crivitz 10-2 on Tuesday. Wiese homered in the first and sixth innings.

Xavier Varsity Hawks opened the scoring in the first after Wiese homered to left field, scoring two.

Xavier Varsity Hawks took the lead, 5-2, in the bottom of the third thanks to singles by Titan Milhaupt, Carter Hermus, and Frankie Cavaiani.

Two more Xavier Varsity Hawks runs crossed the plate in the sixth inning to extend the lead to 10-2. Wiese hit a solo home run to left field, and Quinn Comerford doubled, scoring one run.

Cavaiani earned the win for Xavier Varsity Hawks allowing 2 earned runs in 3 and a third innings. Kyler Bleck, Easton Stempa, Comerford and Wiese each threw shutout innings for Xavier Varsity Hawks in relief.

Xavier Varsity Hawks tallied 17 hits in the game. Bleck, Wiese, and Milhaupt each collected three hits for Xavier Varsity Hawks. Matt Potter and Hermus each collected multiple hits for Xavier Varsity Hawks.

Xavier will host Wrightstown on Thursday at 4:30 for the first round of the WIAA tournament.
