There’s a kind of longing that not many talk about.

It’s a longing that emerges after having done the work — the courses, the certifications, the years of study, the therapy, the prayer, the meditations and still feeling like something hasn’t quite landed. Like you’re standing at the doorway of something you know is real — you’ve dreamed it, you’ve felt it in your heart — but you can’t seem to find the key.

And after a while, that longing begins to transform into something quieter and harder to admit. A disappointment you don’t share with anyone. A sense of inadequacy that lives just below the surface — whispering that maybe the dream is simply beyond your reach. That everyone else has found the door. That you are the exception.
