Lack of background knowledge can be due to many different circumstances but you can easily incorporate experiences, reading, and listening task into your sessions to help build up the information for your students to recall.

Visuals for vocabulary is one of the best places to start but we know how hard it is to find a picture for what we need. One of my newest and honestly most favorite ways to get what I need is to use AI ( artificial intelligence) 🧠 💻

Meet the Speech-Language Pathologist:
Hello! My name is Samantha and I am an ASHA board certified Speech-Language Pathologist and licensed in the state of Wisconsin. I received my Bachelors degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point followed by a Masters degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Alabama A&M University. I have over 4 years of clinical experience practicing in the public school system. I have experience in treating a wide range of disorders and exceptionalities including, but not limited to: Down Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, developmental delays, intellectual disability, speech impairment, and language impairment. I look forward to building a strong relationship and connection with you and your child to meet his/her goals in his/her specific area(s) of need!
