Pillars' Summer Donation Drive starts TODAY and will run through July 7th. It's completely digital- making it easier than ever to get involved and support basic needs for our Fox Cities neighbors!

👉 At Pillars we hold only two donation drives a year… and we currently have used up our winter stock of donated items! We are asking for your help filling our shelves this summer with critically low items.

🔌 Imagine sleeping in a shared space at a shelter and relying on your phone to call for ride, schedule appointments, or to wake up for work on time. If you simply do not have one or can’t afford one- that can be very problematic. At Pillars we rely on donations for items such as phone chargers, to help the burden of something as simple as keeping a phone charged.

Pillars was grateful to partake in African Heritage, Inc. Juneteenth Celebration hosted by The Ọmọladé Academy on Sunday, June 7th. The program featured Music by DJ Haze, a mobile exhibit from the Stone of Hope Popup Museum, and an array of Soul Food.

👉Our Community Learning Coordinator had some great interactions with community members, and good connections with organizations in the Fox Cities. “I feel it was fantastic that Pillars was represented there.”

The program included a libation ritual, the SiStar Society Academy of Excellence, the African Heritage Emerging Student Leaders Institute (AHESLI), and Dr. Ruben L Anthony, Jr's keynote speech, "Economic Resiliency: The Unfinished Work of Freedom”.
