Latest Completed Project: Antique Cedar Chest

Having the opportunity to refinish this 100 year old cedar chest was a real treat. There's a ton of history and sentimental value in restoring a piece like this one. Every little detail screams antique. I wanted to make sure this particular piece looked absolutely stunning once completed. A Dark Walnut MINWAX stain was used on the entire surface, which really made the wood grain pop! After allowing the stain to get fully saturated into the wood, I applied an oil-based finish for a brilliant shear. I couldn't be happier the way that the cedar chest turned out. It definitely feels great to rejuvenate and restore a piece like this!
