Revival Lane

Gotta love a PNW free pile- scored the table on Marketplace and the chairs on the curb around the corner!

Revival Lane started as a house account when we bought our first house in Wisconsin in 2019. Somehow that evolved into an antique booth, then a shop, and each iteration followed our journey as a family and as business owners. Now the business is closed, and Wisconsin is thousands of miles away…

We rented a house sight unseen to be our landing pad as we made the biggest move of our life with 2 kids and 2 cats in tow. We have been pleasantly surprised, while the house doesn’t have the same MCM oomph we’re used to, it does have a great big mostly original kitchen (hidden under layers of paint and linoleum). I especially love the great big drainboard sink, with the previous occupants funky tile additions. It’s weird to be in a place that we aren’t totally free to alter, but I bet we will pull some renter friendly tricks out of our sleeves.

I hear the old place is already undergoing renovations… I’m glad we’re too far to see it happen, but I hope they love what they end up with.

Another morning, another mug. Jacob bought me a mini version of our raised beds last Winter to keep me excited about our garden plans. Having taken the garden through Spring, Summer and now putting it to bed for Fall, it worked! We are officially tapped out on tomatoes, couldn’t get enough salad (neither could the bunnies apparently) and can’t wait to do it all again next year!
