I'm doing a Bible study in Proverbs and had to stop at what it says about "the simple."

The simple believes everything, but the prudent gives thought to his steps. (Prov 14:15)

The prudent sees danger and hides himself, but the simple go on and suffer for it. (Prov 22:3)

This made me reflect on an example of the simple in recent history. In 2020, the simple believed that a manufactured virus (on the order of a cold or flu,) created in a Chinese lab, but funded with U.S. money, justified the closing of churches and businesses and the quarantine of healthy people. The simple believed that this manufactured virus, justified the near shut down of air travel and if anyone did leave their home to go out into the fresh air, they had to wear a mask that any virus could pass through.
