Fun fact: An adult tortoise can store more than 40% of its body weight in water. Never scare, pick up or turn a tortoise upside down. That may cause them to lose that life-saving water.

We loved sharing these facts and more with the families who attended Victor Elementary School District's recent college and career fair with the help of some live baby tortoises from the California Turtle and Tortoise Club.
