The new system build is chugging along. The assassin 2 cooler is massive and so pulling the motherboard was no surprise.. The documentation on the cooler was wrong for the AMD 3+ chip 9590 that I installed. So had to guess on what looked correct to make it fit correctly..

The Assassin II Cooler, by Deep Cool, is a monster, had to adjust the front fan to clear the Corsair Dominator heatsinks. The front fan brushes the glass on my clear side panel of the case in height.

I still have much to do, pull the fans back off to adjust cabling towards the other side of the case. So this will take some time to get everything right again. Then have a 3TB and a 2TB hard drive to install, plus video card and Windows 7 - 64 bit on the 120gb ssd drive that's already installed.

Hope to finish it tonight so Far Cry 5 can be installed for tomorrows review.. Thank you fir reading.

Hi all.. been a while, had a system crash, processor died on me, but it gave me a chance to look at a computer that was given to me.. The computer was presumed trash and was tossed only to be revived by me and a few parts from my old system that bombed out..

The scrap system consisted of a Asus CrossHair IV ROG board with a 1090T AMD Phenom II processor, 250 and 500 GB hard drives and 4GB of Ripjaw RAM.. There was no power supply or heat sink on the processor..

So for the heck of it, I scavenged some parts from the FX 8350 build, Arctic Cooler, 8GB more of Ripjaw, Corsair Power supply, Blue Ray burner and the MSI RX470 4G video card..

After clearing the bios and playing around with the board a bit, it roared to life and the system is running stable and is surprisingly fast for an older machine..

The Crosshair system board has tons of possibilities for over clocking and is a perfect fit for gaming.. Currently in Fallout 4 running 100 + mods it is cruising with no problems on ultra settings.. Mostly due to the RX470 but all in all has bought me some time to think about my next gamer build as I have time now to buy the parts I want to build the new machine..

Currently on this box I have 2.75 TB internal and 17TB external for hard drive storage.. Hope it's enough.. lol

Thank you for reading, and if I get some wire management in this case I will take some pics..
