If you ask someone a Yes/No question, a truth-teller usually has no issue answering with a simple "yes" or "no." Why? Because they are not out to convince you. A liar tends to oversell the "yes" and "no" answer by saying things like, "Absolutely, all of the time, or, I would never do that," while being incongruent with their head nodding and shaking.
