As Larry mentioned in our book “Beyond the Native Scale” we started playing duets with Traditional Christmas-Holiday classics, most of which were already in tablature or Scott August . As our experience using different key combinations and 432 tunings progressed, we began to arrange most other duet songs on our own.
Playing your flute with another flute player adds a whole new dimension to your journey. A number of new skill sets are required to play with another person. Each player should be proficient in their fi*****ng, breathing and tonguing. There are a number of ways to play together, some requiring more skill. Let's explore some of those techniques.
