I'm an Annapolis-based private tutor skilled in English language and literature, writing, editing, and the humanities. I coach middle and high school students in English and various styles of writing: professional writing, academic writing, literary analysis, creative writing, and non-fiction narrative writing. I also help elementary school students build a strong foundational understanding of grammar and vocabulary to improve their reading comprehension and enhance their writing ability.

I love working with kids and young adults, and it's my passion to help them learn! I take the time to guide each student through academic challenges and build their confidence by developing a strong foundation for future success as we tackle assignments as a team.

I make a point to develop a strong bond and an open channel of communication with each of my students. Once we build a foundation of trust and understanding, I create a personalized study plan to fit each student's unique needs. I maintain consistent contact with students to ensure regular progress and engagement with the material.

By fostering curiosity, motivation, and sound executive functioning skills, I can help students and parents navigate the changing educational landscape. I am committed to helping students adapt to virtual and hybrid learning, providing skills and strategies for them to master curriculum content whether they are at home or in the classroom.

I graduated cm laude from the University of Maryland, College Park with a degree in English Language & Literature, with a focus in professional writing. I also have a background in psychology, sociology, history, and art.
