Event Description
The Music:
Josh Huff is a local songwriter and performer who continuously presents a storyline of self exploration and healing. While Josh was homeless on the West Cost, he traveled from the bottom of Los Angeles to the upper coast of Oregon. Every step of the way Josh had his guitar in one hand and his briefcase in the other. The tonalities and transitions of each song are inspired by these travels and encourage the listener to go on a journey unique to them. Josh´s performance will involve acoustic guitar, vocals, and a whole lot of soul.
The Movement:
Much like movement, music is a language beyond words. It is felt, experienced, and explored. Throughout Acoustic Movement, we will work together to harmonize our mind, body, and breath as Josh Huff presents his soulful, original music in tandem with Josh Craddock’s fluid instruction. The patterns of both ingredients will be repetitive, graceful, and meditative in nature; designed to create a completely immersive experience for the practitioner.
No yoga or qigong experience is required to participate!

One take / Nutshell by Alice in Chains

I promised you a while ago I’d post a cover of this one and if I’m being honest, I’ve been putting it off because I want it to be as good as it can be.
•
I find myself holding back quite a bit because I never quite feel like I am where I should be. As I’m sure you can relate, I analyze every fraction of what I put out, whether it be in real life or on social media. Even listening back to this recording I hear so much wrong, but in spite of that- I felt connected to whatever it was I was doing.
And that is the point: learning to allow that space of ambitious faults and still be allow yourself to be proud of what you’ve done. There will always be room for improvement and there’s always room for improvisation. So be innovative and creative with how you approach your abilities. There’s now telling what you can do until you try. And that’s all we can do: try.
