✨ My Journey into Film Photography ✨
Last year, I took a leap and bought my first-ever film camera. After second-shooting for some of the most incredible wedding photographers—whose film work I admire—I knew I had to try it myself.
At first, it felt so unfamiliar. I’m used to the instant gratification of digital, but with film, everything slowed down. I had to be intentional, trust my instincts, and embrace the unknown. I learned to load a roll, work with light differently, and focus with precision.
With the guidance of Luis, who has more experience with cameras, I started bringing my film camera everywhere—especially to weddings. I’d ask my couples if they’d trust me with a few film shots (always having my digital camera with me!). Their trust, along with Luis covering the safe shots, gave me the freedom to experiment. I became hands-on, capturing moments on film, playing with light and storytelling in a whole new way.
I treated my film rolls like precious gems, carefully storing them—but I kept delaying sending them to the lab. Part of me was excited, but another part hesitated—what if they didn’t turn out how I hoped? I was so used to the security of digital that the uncertainty of film felt intimidating.
But when I finally got my scans back… I was in love. The tones, the depth, the way film captures light and emotion—it wasn’t perfect, but that’s what made it so special.
Looking back, I wonder why I didn’t start sooner. I used to think film wasn’t for me. I studied digital and documentary photography, worked as a multimedia specialist, and even dabbled in video. But something about film feels different—it’s raw, timeless, and deeply artistic.
Now, I can’t imagine my work without it. Film has taught me to slow down, see light in a new way, and embrace imperfections. And I’m just getting started.
Have you ever taken a leap into something unfamiliar and ended up loving it? That’s exactly how I feel about film. If you’ve shot film, what made you fall in love with it? And if not, what creative thing have you always wanted to try? 🎞✨

Let’s talk about the GROOM 👏🏼—because his moments matter just as much as the bride’s.
There’s a different kind of anticipation in the air—the deep breath before everything changes, the quiet focus as the suit is buttoned, cufflinks fastened with steady hands. It’s a moment that’s often overlooked, but it carries just as much weight.
That’s why capturing this part of the day should feel effortless, natural, and real. No stiff poses, no forced smiles—just you, fully present, surrounded by the people who matter most.
As a husband-and-wife photography team, we get it. We know how to make you feel comfortable, bring out the best version of you, and document you as you are—right before you step into forever.
