About Meadowlark Design+Build's project on this home tour: Building on the success of a previous kitchen and dining remodel with Meadowlark, the goal was to transform the backyard into a welcoming extension of their living space. The new detached screened porch and pergola offer a comfortable place to start the day with coffee, gather for family meals, work remotely, entertain friends, or unwind on warm summer evenings. Thoughtful details—including lounge seating, a dining area, a ceiling fan, and a removable hammock—make the space as versatile as it is inviting. Designed to work seamlessly with the pool area, the detached structure helps manage the activity that comes with outdoor living while providing easy access for family, guests, and pets. The result is a connected backyard retreat that blends beauty, function, and everyday comfort for years of memories ahead.
