Fire restoration update ❤️‍🔥 The cafe’s facelift is in full effect! All of its contents have been removed for cleaning and the structural repairs have begun. Our contractors are working as quickly as possible to get us back up and running! It’s still hard to say exactly what our reopening date will be, but we’re crossing our fingers & toes for Feb-ish. 🤞🏼 To say that we are looking forward to that happy happy reopening day would be a total understatement 🥰🎉

It’s been said that the cost of convenience is community. We live in a world where with a couple clicks of our fingers, we can have groceries and gifts delivered to our front door. Life moves so fast and is a constant balancing act of priorities, so it’s no wonder these options have become so popular. But maybe what we really need is to slow it all down - to take the extra time to drive down to our local coffee shop and bump into an old friend, to seek the local shop owners advice on a gift, to ask the farmers at the market which squash you should have with dinner. Life is not perfect and neither are we - sometimes the faster, more convenient shopping options are used out of necessity. But if we all made an effort to change up even just a couple of our shopping habits to support the small businesses in our area, I think we’d be reminded just how valuable community is. Small businesses may not be able to compete with all that bigger brands have to offer in terms of convenience, but man oh man do they make up for it tenfold with what they do for our communities. They care to get to know you, provide jobs, source intentionally from other small producers, give away gift cards for school fundraisers, keep dollars local, and make our city vibrant and unique. This holiday season, consider swapping the online scrolling for downtown strolling! ❤️ and THANK YOU for supporting our small business, it truly means the world! We can’t wait to get back to serving you all soon 🥰
