SuspensionSim from Mechanical Simulation adds suspension design factors (SDFs), new VS Commands, full native 64-bit support, and improvements in VS Visualizer and the GUI (VS Browser). New examples were added for a tandem walking beam suspension.

SuspensionSim simulates quasi-static Kinematics and Compliance (K&C) tests applied to suspension systems.

The following are some of the new features:
• suspension design factors (SDFs)
• new VS Commands
• full native 64-bit support
• improvements in VS Visualizer
• improvements in the UI

Mechanical Simulation Releases CarSim, TruckSim, BikeSim, and SuspensionSim 2023.1

Mechanical Simulation Corporation is proud to announce the 2023.1 release of the VehicleSim products. The new versions of , , , and simulation software are now available from www.carsim.com.

Following are some new CarSim features:
• alternate steering systems can be installed, such as hydrostatic systems use in off-highway vehicles. This release supports differential steering (skid steer) and hydrostatic articulation.

• more support for the terramechanics rigid wheel (TMRW) model on Linux and some RT systems.

• support for connecting with battery management from external software for used in hybrid and electric vehicles.

• more control over variables imported from external software such as Simulink, to enable and disable an import during the simulation.
• new built-in functions for use in VS Commands such as PID controllers.
an updated VS Visualizer pro download with more features and support for more examples, including some RT systems.

• a program to convert CarMaker data to CarSim and import the results into a CarSim database.

(Below) CarSim 2023.1 adds new steering system options in support of systems based on hydraulic control. This articulated tractor controls directions by an acutator at the hitch; the wheels themselves are not steered.
