We have all spent way too much time scrubbing through hour-long webinar recordings or digging through massive slide decks just to find a single technical answer.
To help solve this, Internet2 partnered with the Cal Poly Cloud Innovation Center to build something incredibly useful for our community: the I2Cloud Answers by Experts chatbot. ๐คโ๏ธ
This new tool uses natural-language queries to search through hundreds of community documents, video recordings, and presentations. Instead of hunting for hours, you can find precise, peer-generated cloud insights in seconds. It even links you directly back to the original source presentation.
We are treating this initial launch as a community experiment, and we need your real-world feedback to help make it better.
You can log in right now using your InCommon credentials or an Internet2 guest account at abe.internet2.edu to test it out. Please send any feedback or notes on what needs adjustment to [email protected] ๐จ

Route Policy in Action: Managing Multicloud Prefix Limits
The first post in this series introduced the Virtual Networks Route Policy feature in Internet2 Insight Console and explored three key use cases: protecting BGP peers from max prefix limitations, preventing route leaks, and shaping traffic through attribute modification. These reflect real-world operational needs that research and education (R&E) network operators are actively navigating as cloud connectivity architectures grow in scale and complexity.
Now, letโs dive deep into practical examples that show how to use Route Policy to manage prefix advertisements in a multicloud environment while staying within cloud provider limits. The scenario in this blog is one that Internet2 member institutions have experienced firsthand, and itโs the kind of challenge Route Policy can address before it becomes an incident.

In a recent interview with Campus Technology, Internet2โs discussed why closing the research cyberinfrastructure access gap is so critical, and why investing in the research computing and data workforce is the highest-leverage step campuses can take.
There are researchers and students nationwide who could become the next innovators if they have the right support to access federally funded national resources like ACCESS and NAIRR.
