On saturday, Feb. 17, the Asian community in Michigan and beyond, marked the Lunar New Year. The group Ann-Hua Chinese School from Ann Arbor, who has been using the Washtenaw Community College's Morris Lawrence facilities to practice their dances and choreographies for a decade, led an event at the Briarwood Mall to celebrate the year of the snake. An article was written to share those moments and highlight what the group promotes.

Additionally, next week, we will be hosting the 2025 Farm Stop Conference at the Morris Lawrence building, from March 2nd through March 4th, where the group and its attendees gather, learn from one another, share best practices, and envision the role we’d like to see farm stops play in our local food ecosystems.

It was a honor to host the Jewish Federation of Greater Ann Arbor's Main Event at WCC. This year's guest, David Brooks, book author and political and cultural commentator, wowded the crowd with his insights. This annual event is one of the events we always look foward to!

to hosting the Ann Arbor Area Foundation Annual Meeting at WCC! It was incredible to see our space filled with passionate individuals dedicated to making a positive impact in Washtenaw County.

The event featured the Foundation's annual report, highlighting their mission, purpose, fund financials, and incredible grantmaking efforts for 2023-2024. We're proud to be the venue where such important conversations and community-building happen!
