Angola Fire Department

Yesterday evening, Angola Fire spent several hours at ISP youth camp down at Trine University where the campers experienced several tasks that firefighters do for their job. Tasks like supply line pull, piking ceiling, dragging victims, pulling attack lines, aiming water streams, just to name a few things, and for fun they received a ride in the aerial, played hose roll bowling, and got to cool off in the water after a extremely hot day. A huge thank you to our friends at Angola Fire Department for coming out and setting up an obstacle course for our campers on Monday night! Campers look forward to this every year!

This evening, retired and current members of the department honored their brother Bill Brown who is battling some serious health issues. Please, pray and show support for our brother who is going though this difficult time.

As summer approaches and our lakes become busier, the Angola Fire Department reminds everyone to make water safety a priority. Always wear a life jacket, never swim alone, and avoid operating watercraft under the influence.

Our crews continue to train aggressively in water rescue operations to ensure we are prepared to protect our community when emergencies happen. Stay alert, stay prepared, and enjoy the water safely this season.
