This ring came in, in this condition.
Unfortunately it looks as though someone bit off more than they could chew. There’s solder everywhere EXCEPT where it needs to be.
I cut out all the bad, cleaned up the rest, and started the reconstruction.
Both gallery wires and the bridge. Once that was done, I drilled the hole for the new peg head and installed it. Gave it a little pre-polish and then set the diamond.

I love this kind of project. The client’s trust will never be taken for granted.
I’m honored to part of their story.
Imagine the series of events that led to my getting to work on this.
When we get to hand them back a ring that was once nearly a loss…and I’ve reconstructed it and brought back the life and sentiment.

It’s a great feeling. It’s great to watch their eyes go from amazement to tears of joy.
