Hi! My name is Zariyah Zavala, and I’m 11 years old. I play center back and love holding down our defense. I’ve been playing soccer for almost 6 years.

My favorite soccer player is Lamine Yamal, and he inspires me to work hard and keep improving my game. When I’m not playing soccer, I enjoy dancing, singing, painting, and spending time with my little brothers. I’m definitely a bit of a “momma bear” when it comes to them! Family is very important to me, and I always look forward to going to church on Wednesdays with my friends.

One day, I hope to become a professional soccer player or a soccer coach. Until then, I’ll keep working hard, having fun, and giving my all every time I step onto the field!

My favorite soccer team is Real Madrid and my favorite soccer player is Mbappé. On my days off I enjoy playing with my cats and making bracelets.

I want to attend the University of North Carolina on a full ride scholarship for soccer to build my future career as a professional soccer player in the NWSL. From there I aspire to be on the USA Team where I have the opportunity to win the FIFA world cup as well as earn the Ballon d’Or Trophy recognizing me as the best female soccer player in the world.
My favorite soccer team is Barcelona and my favorite player is Sophia Wilson!
When I'm not playing soccer some of my favorite things to do is play with my sisters (mostly Barbies haha), read any and all books, go to church, and do arts and crafts at home.
I always give my best effort on the field so that when a scout gets the chance to see me play, my skills and hard work stand out. That one opportunity could help me take the next step toward achieving my dreams!
