⚠️The High Rip Current Risk issued by the National Weather Service has been extended through Friday morning, June 12th.⚠️

Today, June 10, the National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a high rip current risk along Brazoria County beaches through 9PM this evening.

If you are heading to the beach, stay safe:
🏊Never swim alone.
🚫While swimming, stay away from rocks, jetties, and piers.
🌊If caught in a rip current, relax and float.
🔄Don't swim against the current. Swim parallel to the shore to escape, then head back in.
🙋‍♂️If you can't escape the current, face the shore and call/wave for help.
