Today, April 9, we honor National Former Prisoner of War Recognition Day.

We remember all former POWs from World War II, Korean War, and Vietnam War who faced unimaginable hardship with courage and resilience.

Today, we honor their strength, remember those who never returned, and reaffirm that their sacrifices will never be forgotten. 🎗️

Today, we honor the courage, sacrifice, and service of the brave men and women who served during the Vietnam War on National Vietnam War Veterans Day.

Observed every year on March 29, this day marks the anniversary of the withdrawal of U.S. combat troops from Vietnam in 1973, following the signing of the Paris Peace Accords. In 2017, Donald Trump signed the Vietnam War Veterans Recognition Act of 2017 into law, officially designating March 29 as a national day of recognition.

More than 2.7 million Americans served in Vietnam during one of the most challenging and controversial chapters in our nation’s history. Many Vietnam veterans returned home without the gratitude and support they deserved. National Vietnam War Veterans Day is a time to correct that, to say “Welcome Home,” and to ensure their service is never forgotten.

The Vietnam War Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. stands as a powerful reminder of the 58,000+ service members who lost their lives. It also symbolizes healing, remembrance, and unity.

Today, we pause to reflect on the sacrifices made, the families who carried the burden at home, and the enduring strength of those who served. If you know a Vietnam veteran, take a moment to thank them for their service and sacrifice.
