We have received numerous reports that our Jury Hotline number, (979) 271-5101, has been spoofed. Scammers are using this number to call citizens and falsely inform them that they are involved in legal litigation and must provide payment information immediately. Additionally, some individuals have been falsely told to report to the Sheriff’s Department to pay a fine for missing jury duty, under threat of an arrest warrant, despite never being summoned.

Please be aware that the District Clerk’s Office will never contact you to request payment or personal information for these issues.
