Andover Fire-Rescue

Your Andover firefighters with the wildland task force made up of AFR, Cowley County Fire District #2 Atlanta, Butler County Fire District #8 was just finishing their rest period and were dispatched to a wind driven fire in southern Meade county needing initial attack. The attached pic is the view from miles away as they respond (non driver took the pic). Approaching their 48th hour of their deployment they will likely not return until tomorrow evening.

Your firefighters and the task force were assigned to the Lake Fire in Meade county last night. They are fighting a tough fire in incredibly tough territory. They are on a rest period right now and will get a new assignment later today. Please keep them and the people they are serving in your prayers.
