Mornings are officially frosty here on the farm, and I’m soaking in the quiet shift of the seasons. There’s something special about the off season’s slower pace — a time to pause, reflect, and daydream a little. Lately, my thoughts drift to spring weddings, like this stunning early-June celebration at the for Kristen and Greg.

I love when wedding couples incorporate bud vases into their floral design. Bud vases bring such charm to a tablescape — soft blooms, organic movement, and a romantic simplicity that lets each flower truly shine. And beneath a canopy of lush greenery at the Walpack Inn, the result was pure magic.

Rebecca’s request to incorporate native flowers and play off primary colors in the floral design for her and Erick’s wedding led to one of my all-time favorite bouquets! As a florist who sources from both my own farm and local farms, I love when wedding couples specifically request native flowers (the ultimate flowers for your local pollinators!). Over at Moonlit Acres, we plant many flowers for design — but also lots that stay in the field to feed the pollinators.
