Jr. High Volleyball open gym and camp schedules for June and July. Families can go into Final Forms and complete them at any time. Today was all about helping students discover that the road ahead has a lot of possibilities…

Our 8th graders tackled Reality Day, where they stepped into adulthood by choosing careers, managing monthly budgets, paying bills, and quickly realizing that “I’m buying a mansion and a Lamborghini” is not always in the budget. 😅💸

Meanwhile, students in grades 5-7 rotated through Career Presentations led by community members who shared their unique paths and passions. From firefighting and healthcare to dog training, cake entrepreneurship, theatre, entomology, and more — our Lakers saw firsthand that careers come in all shapes, sizes, and sometimes even six legs. 🐜

We wrapped up the day with an inspiring performance and message from a guest speaker/musician who reminded students that success isn’t just about finding a job — it’s about pursuing what drives you, working hard, and staying true to your passions. 🎸✨

Today was filled with questions, laughter, budgeting panic, inspiration, and maybe a few future career plans in the making.
