Can you FIND THE CANCER in picture 2? —>
ANYONE can see the Basal Cell in picture 1, but not everyone will find the Basal Cell in picture 2. WHY IS THIS?
In picture 3, we see that these cancers have very similar characteristics. When we SYSTEMATICALLY SCREEN patients with a dermatoscope AND know what to look for, we can begin to find these cancers at their earliest stages (picture 2).
Which patient would you rather be?
SCANNING DERMOSCOPY is the practice of taking and extra 10-20 seconds to PURPOSELY SCAN the most likely places for skin cancer to occur. The GOAL is not to focus our Dermatoscope on something apparent, but to look expectantly for things that stand out in a given high risk field by looking for BACKGROUND VARIATIONS in any given area of FOCUS.
Ask questions, start conversation, we are passionate about this topic and want to find like minded people and people that want to learn! @ Skin Cancer Centres

// Radiation Therapy //
At the Skin Cancer Centre we offer a “Cure Without Cutting” option to our patients for a large amount of skin cancers. This is especially beneficial to patients that have cancers in areas where healing from an excision can be difficult or time exhaustive.
With no anesthesia, cutting, bleeding, stitching or pain, our partnership with was a no-brainer and our patients have loved this alternative treatment!
