Electron Microscopy Facility congratulates winner of 2023 Hitachi Electron Microscopy Fellowship, Afreen Sultana from the Department of Food, Nutrition and Packaging Sciences. Sultana is studying under the supervision of Professor Scott Whiteside. This one year $25,000/- Hitachi electron microscopy fellowship award was recently presented to Sultana by Dr. Tanju Karanfil, Clemson University Senior Vice President for Research, Scholarship and Creative Endeavors and Mr. Dean Plunkett, Director of Sales, Hitachi High-Tech America, Inc. Congratulations also go to runner-up, Harleen Kaur from Plant & Environmental Sciences Department.
