Even though it’s not tax season, we still have a very busy month! We are celebrating 10 years in business this month and finally taking some headshots for our website. We are also having our annual team meeting to come up with ideas so we can continually be improving every year! As such we will be closed all day Thursday, November 20th and Friday November 21st. Balanced CPAs is seeking an in-office receptionist/administrative assistant to be the smiling face and voice of our practice.
About Us:
We are a local CPA firm that provides individual and business tax services, bookkeeping services, and payroll services.
Role:
In this role, your main responsibility is to greet clients and handle incoming phone calls with professionalism and courtesy. In addition, you’ll be an essential part of our team, providing support to the office manager, bookkeeper, tax preparers, and CPA.
Receptionist Responsibilities:
• Appointment scheduling and reminders
• Communicate client needs to other staff members
• Handle incoming and outgoing mail
• Maintain general office organization and cleanliness.
Administrative Assistant Responsibilities:
• Organize and compare documents provided by clients
• Process completed tax returns for electronic or paper delivery and follow through steps until it is accepted by the IRS
• Manage tasks in your work queue
• Contact clients via phone and email to request and remind of missing documents
• Perform additional administrative duties as assigned
Technical Skills & Requirements:
Must be proficient with computers as majority of our processes are electronic. Our peak busy season (typically from January-April and August-October) requires strong time management skills, the ability to accurately remember and execute processes, and keep up with multiple tasks while working under a sometimes stressful and fast paced environment.
Compensation & Benefits:
This position’s hours are 9am-5pm Monday-Friday and pays $25 an hour.

Our team at the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce gold pan awards gala with our Gold Pan for Entrprenurial Excellence.
Our office will be closed Monday, November 18th and Tuesday, November 19th for our annual staff meeting. We will be back to normal business hours Wednesday, November 20th.
