Don't forget to get your knives sharpened before Turkey Carving Day!

Greetings Everyone, from the Grumpy Woodworker!

As any of you following us are probably aware, we are very slowly dragging ourselves out of our COVID19 Pandemic hidey-hole.

And part of that dragging ourselves out is getting knives and tools sharpened up for use again!

So, do you need your kitchen knives sharpened? Have you been smushing your tomatoes, crushing your carrots, and tenderizing meat instead of cutting it? We are here to help!

We have some new sharpening gear that lets us work faster, cleaner, and put an even better edge on your blades then ever before, with regrinding knives to have a hollow ground edge, and beyond razor sharp.

That being said, here's our sharpening cost breakdown for those worried that it might be too expensive:

Basic touch-up: $1ea This is just dressing the blade edge to restore sharpness.
Basic Sharpen: $5ea This is taking a dull knife and hollow grinding it to restore the overall edge and sharpness.
Regrind: $10ea Removal of small chips in the blade, or slight reshaping, plus putting our ultra sharp edge on it.
Full Regrind: $15ea(with some exceptions) Reshaping the blade, taking out significant chips & dings, and of course, putting the slice back in your dice.

If you are interested in getting your knives sharpened, please don't hesitate to send us a message and schedule a drop off with us. We have a busy schedule, but we're pretty flexible about times as well, so just let us know!

Temporarily, our phone number is out of service(should be back up and running in the next few days.... Phone go Crunch.....), but you can still reach us via Messenger at any time.

Hope to hear from you soon!

In an effort to make painting and carving more accessible, we've opted for using 24v actuators (with a hand control) to lift the tool boom and mast, and the main carriage. After all, they do weigh near 140lbs. 😅 The boom keeps lighting, fans and tools directly overhead. Still straightening up the hardware, working on cable management, and finalizing tool/materials storage, but it is functioning like a dream! 😃 Need to get this finished up so the missus can get back to carving.
