ANSEP

Two weeks ago, 56 students from Hawaiʻi, the Aleutians East Borough School District, and the Anchorage School District came together on the University of Alaska Anchorage campus for the ANSEP Middle School Academy!

Throughout the week, students participated in a variety of hands-on STEM activities. From building computers and engineering bridges to learning about hydrology and geomatics, students explored new skills and discovered how STEM connects to real-world careers. Students also visited the Alaska Airlines Hangar to learn about aviation careers, participated in activities with the Renewable Energy Alaska Project (REAP), and explored environmental science with the Bureau of Land Management at the Campbell Creek Science Center!
