988 Lifeline 05/27/2026

As Mental Health Awareness Month comes to a close, we want to encourage everyone to continue prioritizing their mental health long after May ends. Mental health care can look different for everyone, but small intentional steps can make a meaningful difference.

Some ways to check in with yourself include:
• Paying attention to changes in your sleep, appetite, energy, or mood
• Taking breaks from social media and constant stressors
• Spending time outside, moving your body, or reconnecting with hobbies you enjoy
• Talking with someone you trust instead of isolating yourself
• Journaling, drawing, deep breathing, or practicing mindfulness when emotions feel overwhelming
• Reaching out for professional support when things begin to feel too heavy to manage alone

You do not have to wait until you are in crisis to ask for help.

If you are looking for counseling resources, you can complete our counseling sign-up form here:

Sealants | MouthHealthy - Oral Health Information from the ADA 05/26/2026

Think of sealants as raincoats for your teeth. When the cavity-causing bacteria that live in everyone’s mouth meet leftover food particles, they produce acids that can create holes in teeth. These holes are cavities. After sealant has been applied it keeps those bits of food out and stops bacteria and acid from settling on your teeth, just like a raincoat keeps you clean and dry during a storm. Children and adults can benefit from sealants, but the earlier you get them, the better. Your first molars appear around age 6, and second molars break through around age 12. Sealing these teeth as soon as they come through can keep them cavity-free from the start, which helps save time and money in the long run. Ask your dentist if sealants are a good option for you and your family.

Root Canals | MouthHealthy - Oral Health Information from the ADA 04/14/2026

If you have a severely damaged, decaying tooth or a serious tooth infection (abscess), your dentist may recommend a root canal treatment. Root canals are used to repair and save your tooth instead of removing it. A root canal treatment usually takes 1 or 2 office visits to complete. There is little to no pain because your dentist will use local anesthesia, so you don’t feel the procedure. Once the procedure is complete, you should no longer feel the pain you felt before having it done.
