This week, ANHB hosted multiple meetings with Tribal CFOs and the Alaska Department of Health. We took time to thank Tribal Health Organizations who are working countless hours to support communities impacted by ex-Typoon Halong. Alaska Native organizations and Tribal governments are playing a central role in the response and long-term recovery efforts for communities devastated by the storm. Their work includes immediate relief operations, infrastructure assessments, coordinating the collection and distribution of essentials and providing support services for displaced community members in Anchorage and the affected region.

The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation (YKHC) is involved in coordinating response efforts and sending medical providers and supplies to impacted villages. The Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC) is working with state emergency operations centers and non-profits like Team Rubicon to manage donations and logistics, ensuring supplies reach the remote communities.
