Alaska Ocean Observing System

During the Northern Gulf of Alaska LTER cruise, UAF College of Fisheries & Ocean Sciences researchers deployed the GAK1 oceanographic mooring which included one of AOOS' acoustic receivers. For the next year, this receiver will be listening for tagged fish and crabs, providing crucial information on the distribution and movement of marine animals in the area.
