I completed The Artist’s Way!! (clap for me).
Rebecca and Dalecia were also on this journey, and without their support and companionship I never would have seen it through to the end. We started in mid September and finished 4ish months later! It is a 12 week program for anyone wishing to foster their creative self (you should definitely look it up and do it!).
We didn’t do it perfectly. Many weeks I didn’t do the exercises, or the reading, I forgot about my Artist Dates and couldn’t bring myself out of self pity to finish writing my Morning Pages. But the one thing I DID do was SHOW UP for my friends and for myself at every meeting. I showed up for those twelve weeks. I finished it.
Maybe the goal is not to do something well, but just to do SOMETHING. ANYTHING.
