It’s time to finally share what’s been on our hearts…

Over the past few weeks, many of you have asked about tryouts and what’s next for Vipers Fastpitch. And after a lot of thought, tears, and family conversations—we’re ready to say it out loud:

Freddie, Pennelope, and I will be moving to Kentucky later this summer to be closer to family.

This decision has not been easy. In fact, it’s been absolutely heartbreaking. Because what we built here wasn’t just a softball program—it was a family. When we first started this journey as Black Ice four years ago, we had no idea how much it would grow or how many lives would intertwine with ours along the way. What began as a small group of gritty girls who just wanted to play ball has grown into a thriving community of fierce, passionate athletes and families who have made this so much more than a game.

We’ve been part of something truly special here—and we don’t take that for granted.

From the first lessons, to the wild tournament weekends, to the deep conversations in dugouts and parking lots… every moment has been a piece of our hearts.

To our Vipers girls—past and present—you have given us more than we could ever put into words. Watching you grow not just as players, but as humans, has been one of the greatest honors of our lives. You will always, always be a part of our story.

We know our leaving will bring change—and change is hard—but we also believe it creates space for new growth. For new leaders to rise, new memories to be made, and new magic to unfold.

Alaska softball will always be home in our hearts.

With so much love,
Freddie, Jenna & Pennelope šŸ’œ

This Memorial Day weekend was more than just softball—it was deeply personal. Hosting a tournament in honor of my dad, Gregory Lee, was incredibly special. He was the kind of man who would’ve been at the fields all weekend, watching every pitch, cheering for every girl, and making friends with every family!

We felt his presence in the sunshine, in the cheers, and in the joy of the game he would’ve loved so much. Thank you to every team, player, parent, and volunteer who helped make this weekend unforgettable. Your support honored his legacy in the most beautiful way!

We miss him every day—but this weekend, we celebrated him exactly where he would’ve wanted to be: surrounded by community, competition, and the game he loved!
