Let's return to Lusławice, where, as part of the FMF Young Talent Award Masterclasses 2026, young composers developed their skills in film scoring - from working with picture to preparing compositions for professional recording sessions.
The Krzysztof Penderecki European Centre for Music became a space for intensive creative work, exchange of experiences and meetings with industry experts. The resulting compositions were recorded with the Stokłosa Collective Orchestra under the supervision of sound engineers from London’s AIR Studios.

Last week was all about Festiwal Muzyki Filmowej w Krakowie as Bettermaker proudly co-organised the Young Talent Award and the Audiovisual Forum. Big thanks to KBF for the smooth workflow and excellent collaboration. It’s always a pleasure to build something meaningful together. A huge thank you also goes to all the musicians and composers who took part in the masterclasses and workshops. Your energy, openness, and talent made these sessions genuinely special.
We are grateful as well to all the panelists who joined our conversations - your perspectives shaped the dialogue in a powerful way. And finally - thank you to everyone involved in making this edition happen. See you next year in Krakow!
Young Talent Award Masterclass: Creative mixing process and mastering preparations. Powered by Bettermaker led by Magda Piotrowska, Marek Walaszek and Szymon Piotrowski.
And already this Friday at 10 AM, we invite you to: Not Only Talent - How Technology Helps You Grow - a panel discussion featuring Marek Walaszek (CEO of Bettermaker), Miriam Cutler (film composer), Mikołaj Gąsiewski (award-winning composer, 2025 Young Talent Awards laureate), Hernan C. Fioravanti (award-winning composer, 2024 Young Talent Award laureate) and Natalia Hatz (award-winning composer, 2026 Young Talent Award laureate). Moderated by Magdalena Piotrowska (educator, industry professional).
We often think of talent as the key ingredient behind success. Sometimes, we also point to luck. But more and more, we find ourselves both surrounded and immersed in technology - not only as something that simplifies our daily work, but as a space that can spark ideas, encourage experimentation, and quietly shape the way we create. This is not a session just for tech nerds. It’s an open, accessible conversation for anyone curious about how technology can support creative growth - in subtle, practical, and sometimes unexpected ways.
In this discussion, we’ll explore different perspectives and personal relationships with technology - how artists engage with it, where they draw the line, and how it becomes part of their evolving creative process.
