Beyond Van Gogh is an experience unlike any other. 🌻

For Vincent, the path to finding his passion wasn't easy. He had many jobs and for a time went for months at a time without any contact with his family. In 1880, he lived in poverty in Belgium. In describing his relentless quest for purpose he wrote to his brother Theo.

‘… on the road that I’m on I must continue; if I do nothing, if I don’t study, if I don’t keep on trying, then I’m lost.’

This journey would later bring him to his true passion - The beauty and creativity of his art. 🌻

Through his many challenges, Vincent strived to remain positive. At age 23, after hearing that he would lose his job of six and half years, Vincent wrote to his brother Theo in 1876:
'So far I’m really rather in the dark about what I should do, but we must try and keep hope and courage alive.’
