What's that noise? It's the sound of our cost of living adjustments (COLAs) and two full years of retro pay hitting our paychecks today! 🤑💸

While these COLA increases took significantly longer and more effort than they should have, we are proud to have fought alongside you and won a contract that preserved our rights—including job protections and rejecting merit pay, meaning that every single employee got the full COLA they earned. Thanks to your solidarity and strength, we managed to hold the line and finally receive hard-won money that was owed to us by management.

Pride started as a riot! Today, many institutions try to “celebrate” Pride while white-washing this history, replacing Pride’s original goals of intersectional justice with capitalism -- slapping a rainbow on their logo and calling it a day.

This q***r Palestinian anthology, co-edited by local comrades in our labor/liberation struggle and frequent programmers of events around the Five Colleges, is the perfect alternative to “rainbow capitalism.” Shout out to George Abraham (Amherst College Writer-in-Residence) and (publisher at in Northampton) for assembling this vital work.

Q***r liberation is impossible while UMass funds and enables genocidal bombing campaigns in Palestine, Lebanon, Iran, and on and on. Q***r people are everywhere, and they all deserve autonomy, dignity, and peace.

In an ironic, but sadly unsurprising, turn of events, Trump’s Department of Education has launched a “civil rights investigation” at Smith College, claiming that it may have violated anti-discrimination laws by enrolling trans women. This is a blatant attack on a vulnerable population of students. Trans women are women. Full stop.

PSU rejects this hate-based investigation and believes that ALL women must have their rights to an education—and privacy—protected.
