It’s Day 17 of $22 for Tutus! Today’s post features three of our dancers performing a variation from Fairy Doll at the end of last year’s “back-to-ballet” week-long summer intensive. The dancer in the center is wearing what’s known as a “practice tutu” which helps dancers acclimate to the feel and experience of wearing a tutu, while preserving the delicate nature of the final costume. All the dancers in this video are now also in our Junior Company! Giving to Amherst Ballet helps us offer more pre-professional experiences to young dancers, along with workshops outside of our typical class schedule.
