π A big congratulations to 10-year-old Josephine on completing her very first eye exam at Foley Vision Center! ππ
She absolutely rocked it! π
Many parents are surprised to learn that children can have vision problems without ever complaining because they assume everyone sees the way they do. Regular eye exams can detect issues that may affect learning, reading, sports, and everyday lifeβoften before anyone notices a problem.
Thank you, Josephine, for letting us be part of this important milestone! We hope you had as much fun as we did. π
πΈ Donβt forget to grab a photo in our Foley Vision SelfieGram before you leave!
If your child hasnβt had a comprehensive eye exam yet, now is a great time to schedule one before the school year gets busy.

πΊπΈ PSA from Dr. Foley (your friendly neighborhood eye doc and professional fun-haver):
π Fireworks are awesome. Eye injuries? Not so much.
Every year, people end up in the ER with burns, scratched corneas, retinal injuries, ruptured eyeballs, and sometimes permanent vision lossβ¦ all from a few seconds of βfun.β
Donβt be that guy (or gal).
π Wear REAL safety glasses, not sunglasses.
π Keep a safe distance.
π« Never relight a βdud.β
π Leave the big fireworks to the pros.
Because the only thing worse than a dud fireworkβ¦ is a dud retina. π₯π
Have an amazing Independence Day, make great memories, and keep all ten fingers and both eyes where they belong!
Be safe. Be smart. Keep your eyes on the fireworks, not in the emergency room.
πΊπΈ Happy 4th of July from all of us at Foley Vision Center! πποΈ
