Beat the heat this summer by walking on the indoor track at the Fitch Family Indoor Aquatic Center, 115 N. Elm St.
The track is free and open to the public during the following hours:
Monday: 5:30 a.m. to 8:15 p.m.
Tuesday: 7 a.m. to 8:15 p.m.
Wednesday: 5:30 a.m. to 8:15 p.m.
Thursday: 7 a.m. to 8:15 p.m.
Friday: 5:30 a.m. to 8:15 p.m.
Saturday: 8 to 8:45 a.m.
Sunday: Closed

The agenda for the Ames Area Metropolitan Planning Organization and Ames City Council meetings on Tuesday, July 14, has been posted.
The meeting begins at 6 p.m. with the Ames Area Metropolitan Planning Organization and will be immediately followed by the Ames City Council meeting in the Ames City Council Chambers, 515 Clark Ave.
Among the items on the agenda is a memo from the Ames City Attorney outlining limitations that can be placed on data centers. The analysis will be presented during the Ames City Council meeting.
There will be no public input on this item during the Council meeting. A comprehensive listening session was held on June 30 to gather public feedback. Those who would still like to share comments with the Ames City Council may email [email protected].
If the Council Chambers reaches maximum capacity, overflow viewing will be available in the City Auditorium.
