Fun fact about London real estate. I was in London for a week and one day peeked at the window of a RE agency along the Thames. I noticed some listings were for £630,000 leasehold with 106 years left on the lease. Some listings were freeholds. I went to hotel and looked it up. Holy cow, you can get a mortgage here for a lease, a 106 year long lease…you don’t even own the flat, it goes back to the owner in 106 years. I’ve never heard of this. Mortgage for a lease. We certainly don’t see many in UT. Then some were freeholds what we call a fee simple estate in the USA. Owning a home is still the American Dream 😊🇺🇸and I’m so honored to help buyers and when I help buyers. It means a lot. To them. But also to me. It’s like I’m helping them buy some freedom. So much freedom in buying a “freehold”. ❤️🇺🇸. At least, I think so…
