Every day at Simplex is !
A female patient came to us after struggling with pre-diabetes and high cholesterol. After some simple nutrition and lifestyle changes, she lost 25 lbs, lowered her A1c from 6.2 to 5.8, and successfully lowered her cholesterol due by following a nutrient dense and low glycemic eating plan. She also reports that her reflux is gone, she feels more satisfied after meals, and is working her way off of statin medications! Way to go!

For today's we look at Lauren, a patient who came to Simplex after being diagnosed with gestational diabetes. Working closely with her Registered Dietitian, she began a nutrition and lifestyle plan aimed at supporting healthy glucose goals and better nutrition for mom and baby. Not only was she was able to keep her numbers in check, but she found tremendous moral support as well.
