My cousin is a registered nurse working in a medical center for women and children, and her specialty is supporting labor, delivery, NICU, and infant care.

We had the coolest heart to heart at a family wedding over the weekend about how similar and challenging our industries are. Particularly the idea about how shifts are managed and how that impacts patient support.

Making sure that new moms and newborn babies get the care they need.

Something I love about being a veterinarian is having the opportunity to share what I get to observe and what I learn every day.

Working in a dairy maternity area is one of the most difficult areas on farm as multiple points that need attention are all happening simultaneously. Continuously.

Very much looking forward to sharing real world tips, ideas, and research to support improved care for both bovines and the humans caring for them at the Dairy Nutrition and Management Consulting, LLC Dairy Summit in Vail, Colorado next month!
